Hiiii!
As you've probably seen on my homepage, I'm Moth! This page is to expand more on my interests and why I have/like them as well as go into a little more detail about specifics, like my favourite games in a series, and characters :)
General Information
I am Canadian!
I grew up in a rural area in northern Ontario, and now live in a city close to the border. I have only ever left the country once that I can remember, and it was literally just crossing the border into Michigan with my Grandparents when I was little. However I have been around a bit within the country! I've been to Toronto and Niagara Falls, and more recently, Winnipeg! My dad used to work out there when I was in High School, so I used to go visit him.
My birthday is June 25th! I'm a Cancer sun, Cancer moon, and Sagittarius rising.
I'm an INTP-T
Ain't figured out my enneagram yet.
My favourite colour is periwinkle. My favourite animals are owls (Specifically the screech owl). My favourite time of year is late summer. My favourite kind of weather is either fog, cloudy skies right before rain, or thunder storms.
Like my home page says, I'm an aspiring esthetician/makeup artist, I'm enrolled in a college course for it where I will learn essential skills for it, and expand on the ones I already have. I love makeup, and creative careers, so I'm incredibly excited for this. I also wanted to be able to specialize in alternative styles, as I hear it's difficult to find alternative people in the space.
I'm a mid-2000s baby, and I'm basing my style and self-expression on the version of myself that I thought I'd grow into. I grew up bullied, especially for my appearance, so I really value my self-expression, and showing my femininity. I went through a phase from 15-18 where I identified as non-binary, and used he/they pronouns, and refused to dress in a feminine way because being referred to or seen as a girl felt wrong, it made me feel like I was pretending to be something I wasn't. I don't regret this phase, we all go through a self-discovery period in our adolescent lives, and I unfortunately happened to have mine come from a place of isolation, and self-loathing. But I grew, and I formed a positive group of friends and maintained an excellent support system with them, and was able to feel comfortable in my own skin, and not feel like the guy from Men in Black.
Growing up a fat bitch in rural Ontario is tough guys...
Also peep my dawg
Her name is Lilly and she is 12, I like taking dumb photos of her. She currently lives with my parents in my childhood home, but I still love and miss her very much. We got her when I was 8, I didn't take her with me when I moved out because she's old as shit and I wanted her to be able to live her last few years out in the country with the nice big yard instead of an apartment where she has to be on a leash when she's outside.
She my baby though.
Very smart baby too, they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but last year I taught her to spin, she only does it with a visual command though. My mom also taught her to shut the door after coming in from outside with nothing but a few pieces of broccoli! She learned on her own to do it automatically when coming inside, and knows multiple commands for it, such as, "double check", "all the way" (she didn't shut it all the way), and "what did you forget?" (she forgot to shut it on her way in). She also recognizes the names of her toys, and if we tell her to get a specific toy, she'll go get it. She also understand the "walk" command, which means to follow alongside whoever gave the command. She's a smart puppy, I love her lots.
Hobbies and Interests!
I have many hobbies and interests, however the ones I'm most passionate about, in no particular order, are as follows:
Gaming
Writing/reading
Baking/cooking
Film/acting
Fashion/makeup
Something a lot of my interests seem to have in common is that they usually involve the use of creativity and imagination. I love being creative, I'm always in my own head, always dreaming up new ideas, plotlines, looks and aesthetics. I love being in my own head, thinking and daydreaming. It can get in the way of my day-to-day life, yes, but I'd rather be distracted by my imagination than not have one at all.
I grew up in a period where imagination and creativity were heavily valued and fostered in children, especially by my parents specifically. I always had an interest in fiction, and when I started showing interest in learning how to read, my mother began to teach me, before I even started school.
Some of my favourite things, movie, literature, show, music, and videogame related, are as follows!
More to come!
